Penurunan Glukosa Darah dan Peningkatan Jumlah Sel Beta Pankreas Dengan Pemberian Ekstrak Etanol Pleurotus Ostreatus

Herbal medicine has been widely used for generations, one of which is oyster mushrooms. Therefore, a study was conducted to determine the decrease in blood glucose and the increase in the number of pancreatic beta cells. Modeling diabetes mellitus using alloxan-induced wistar rats. Rats were divided into 3 treatment groups, namely negative control group (Aquades), treatment group (Pleurotus ostreatus ethanol extract 1000 mg/kgbw) and positive control (glibenclamide 5 mg/kgbbw). Blood glucose levels were taken on day 0 and 15 and pancreatic beta cells were observed. The results showed that the average blood glucose level when induced by alloxan and after the 15th day, the ethanol extract of Pleurotus ostreatus decreased significantly (p˂0.05) compared to the negative control. Hispathological results showed the average number of beta cells in rats induced by ethanol extract of Pleurotus ostreatus was higher than the negative control (p<0.05). Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui penurunan glukosa darah dan peningkatan jumlah sel beta pankreas. Pemodelan diabetes melitus menggunakan tikus wistar yang diinduksi aloksan. Tikus dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok perlakuan yaitu kelompok kontrol negatif (Aquades), kelompok perlakuan (ekstrak etanol Pleurotus ostreatus 1000 mg/kgbb) dan kontrol positif (glibenklamide 5 mg/kgbb). Kadar glukosa darah diambil saat hari ke-0 dan ke-15 dan dilakukan pengamatan sel beta pankreas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kadar glukosa darah saat diinduksi aloksan dan setelah hari ke-15, ekstrak etanol Pleurotus ostreatus mengalami penurunan secara signifikan (p˂0,05) dibandingkan dengan kontrol negatif.
