Youth Issues in The Election Programs of Georgian Political Parties (2020 Parliamentary Elections)

The paper discusses the youth issues presented in the election programs of 9 political entities participating in the 2020 parliamentary elections in Georgia (which exceeded the 1% threshold). Most of the political parties in the election programs mainly offer young people ways to overcome the challenges related to education and improving the economic situation, part of the parties focus on issues such as sports, defense, entertainment and others.The paper presents the results of content analysis which confirms that in 2020, during the parliamentary elections in Georgia, the election programs of political parties had little or no coverage of youth issues, their interests, challenges and visions for the future. If parties are better able to identify youth challenges and pay more attention to the future, they will make their party programs more diverse and comprehensive on youth topics
