Peran Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Provinsi Riau Dalam Pembinaan Atlit Pelajar

This study aims to develop and improve thinking skills through scientific work and train writers to apply theories obtained during lectures in solving problems and finding solutions to solve these problems. The assessment indicator used is the Regulation of the Governor of Riau Number 81 of 2016 concerning the Job Description of the Riau Province Youth and Sports Service in article 26. This type of research which is located in Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Provinsi Riau is quantitative research. The numerical data comes from the questionnaire results. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. The research data comes from primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to research respondents. Then secondary data in the form of literature books and the internet according to the required data. In data analysis, it is presented in the form of a written description, which will be analyzed using descriptive or elaboration methods. Based on the results of the study and the objectives of the study, it is known overall that the responses of respondents regarding the Role of the Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Provinsi Riau in the Development of Student Athletes received the highest score in the role category. In making plans related to athlete development, it is carried out by paying attention to several aspects including the results of the developments achieved by athletes such as the development of athletes in each exercise and the development of achievement in each event that is followed. The selection of new athletes through official sports clubs and through schools is also used by Dinas Pemuda dan Olahraga (Dispora) Provinsi Riau. Supporting aspects such as physical, technical, tactical, and mental coaching. giving awards and prizes solely appreciates the efforts of athletes and coaches and provides motivation to athletes who compete in an event
