Peranan Dinas Sosial Kabupaten Pelalawan Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Pekerja Sosial Masyarakat (PSM) (Studi di Kecamatan Bunut)

Pelalawan District has a number of Community Social Workers (PSM) who are generally responsible for assisting, assisting the community in solving various problems as stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 01 of 2012 concerning Community Social Workers. The purpose of this study is: to determine the role of Pelalawan District Social Service in improving the performance of Community Social Workers (PSM). This type of research is a descriptive survey through a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at the Social Service of Pelalawan Regency. The study population was Head of the Division of Poor Social and Handling Empowerment, Head and Staff of Capacity Identification and Strengthening Section, and Community Social Workers in Pelalawan District. The sampling technique is carried out by census and purposive sampling technique. Types and sources of data used primary data and secondary data, while data collection is done through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. After the data is obtained from the research location, then the data are grouped according to data qualifications, then quantitative calculations are carried out then compared with the existing references and then analyzed in the form of a clear and concise description. The results of the study concluded that the role of the Pelalawan District Social Service in improving the performance of the Community Social Workers (PSM) was said to have contributed to the results or the research recapitulation was at 70.59%. Until now the existence of PSM in the midst of the community still exists and the functions of PSM in carrying out the registration, problem formulation, problem identification, reporting, and recommending assistance are still being received by the Pelalawan Regency Social Service. The obstacle of Pelalawan District Social Service in improving the performance of Community Social Workers (PSM) was found in this study in the form of PSM's lack of human resources and the limited authority of Pelalawan District Social Service in conducting guidance to PS
