Abstract

Agarwood leaf (Aquilaria malaccensis) is one type of plant that can be used as a brewed drink.(1) The making of agarwood leaf tea is made for 15 minutes until it dissolves. Based on the results of phytochemical screening, the simplicia of agarwood leaves contains secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, phenols, tannins, saponins, and steroids.(2) A thin layer (TLC) using butanol as mobile phase: acetic acid: water (B:A: A) as eluent and silica gel GF254 as stationary phase. Spot examination using FeCl3 5% to detect phenolic group compounds and AlCl3 5% for flavonoids seen at UV light 254nm and 366nm.(3) The results showed that gaharu leaf tea that had been brewed obtained yellow spots indicating the group of flavonoid compounds and spots....
