PENGARUH KEMUDAHAN BERBISNIS, MARKET SIZE DAN STABILITAS POLITIK TERHADAP INVESTASI ASING LANGSUNG DI ASIA TENGGARA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi investasi asing langsung sebagai aliran dana modal yang potensial untuk mencapai keberhasilan pembangunan ekonomi terlebih pada negara-negara berkembang di Asia Tengggara. Bersumber dari Bank Dunia dan Asean Secretariat, beberapa faktor diuji untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap investasi asing langsung, pada periode 2010–2019 di 5 negara berkembang Asia Tenggara (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philiphina, Thailand dan Vietnam). Dengan menggunakan pemodelan data panel dengan model random effect, temuan menunjukkan bahwa kemudahan berbisnis dan market size memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap investasi asing langsung, sedangkan tingkat stabilitas politik memiliki pengaruh yang positif namun tidak signifikan. Kondisi esensial makroekonomi maupun non-ekonomi suatu negara perlu ditingkatkan guna menciptkan iklim investasi yang kondusif sehingga dapat terus menarik investor untuk berinvestasi. This study aims to determine the factors that influence foreign direct investment as a potential flow of capital funds to achieve successful economic development, especially in developing countries in Southeast Asia. Sourced from the World Bank and the Asean Secretariat, several factors were tested to determine their effect on foreign direct investment, during the 2010–2019 period in 5 developing Southeast Asian countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam). By using panel data modeling with a random effect model, the findings indicate that ease of doing business and market size have a significant positive effect on foreign direct investment, while the level of political stability has a positive but insignificant effect.
