Abstract: The aims of this study is to investigate the effect of guided inquiry learning and verification of metacognitive knowledge of Grade XI science students on hydrolysis topic. The research used quasi experiment design. The analysis is done using t-test at 5% significance. The results showed that there was an influence of metacognitive knowledge that was learned using guided inquiry with verification.
