The activity of currently available antiparasitic drugs has been threatened by the occurrence of drug-resistant parasite populations, toxic effects, and high cost. Therefore, the discovery of more potent antiparasitic drugs coming from medicinal plants is seen as a significant approach to overcome the problem. This study aimed to evaluate the in vitro efficiency of plant extracts of Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. and Hypericum perforatum L. leaves against promastigote forms of Leishmania tropica.
