Keywords: Teacher, Teaching Strategy, Teaching English, E-Learning, The covid-19 pandemic has changed the entire order to human life, especially in education. This made the Government announce the learning activities into e-learning. However, this an impact on the process of transforming knowledge both on students and teachers. This policy and it’s relation to teacher’s strategies in teaching are interesting to be studied. This research focused on the teacher’s strategies used in teaching English with e-learning class during the covid-19 pandemic. This study aimed at answering the following research question: (1) What are the strategies on English e-learning class during the COVID-19 pandemic at MAN 3 Tulungagung? The design of this research was a case study. MAN 3 Tulungagung was the setting of this research. The participant of this research is English teacher and some students at MAN 3 Tulungagung. The data collection was conducted through interview, and observation. The result of this research was strategy that used by the English teacher in teaching English at MAN 3 Tulungagung was independent teaching study as a instruction to the students. And for writing skills, the teacher applies strategies such as planning, drafting and editing. In it was application the English teacher used independent study teaching strategy in teaching. Independent study strategy was used by the English teacher in order to let the students learned the material by themselves. In the other hand, it was also can develop their thinking skill
