SOCIAL VALUES IN ZOOTOPIA MOVIE

Social value is important, because as social beings need to know what the social values are. Social value can also teach us to respect each other, it will create peace and unity as a result of the social process. The other wonderful result of social value is the creation of diversity in human life, getting to know more than one or two different tribes, religions and cultures, and helping one another. People who have good social, they will have a good life, because in the truth, humans are social beings. Turkkahraman (2014) states social values are criteria shared by the majority of a social in an ideal sense, all of which lead them to the better society. Social values regulate and organize daily life. The formulation of the research problems of this study are: (1) what are the social values that can be found in Zootopia movie? The aims of this study are: (1) to analyze the social values that be found in Zootopia movie This study is conducted by using content analysis with qualitative approach. The technique of data collection is note taking. Then, the data verification is using triangulation. The findings of this study show: (1) there are four social values that be found in Zootopia movie: Honesty, Sedulity, Helpfulness, and Modesty. There are 12 dialogues that including in honesty, 4 dialogues that including in sedulity, 6 dialogues that including in helpfulness and 8 dialogues that including in modesty. Honesty can be shown by saying the truth of the words, honesty in action or deed, honesty in work an honesty in desire. Then, sedulity is consistent to be a responsible person and face every new challenging. The third social value is helpfulness, as human social, we need each other. To have a good relation with others, we have to realize what people need and feel and we can help others without asking the reward. The last, modesty can be done by appreciating people’s achievement and respect what other people choice
