Physiotherapy in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy

This bachelor thesis deals with diabetes mellitus and its most common neurological complication - diabetic polyneuropathy. The theoretical part firstly outlines the general issues of diabetes mellitus. The following chapter deals with diabetic polyneuropathy, its etiology, classification, pathophysiology, treatment, especially non-pharmacological. Diabetic polyneuropathy is a long-term emerging disease which damages nerve function. Nerve damage is caused by long-term hyperglycemia and also by the great variability of glycemia. This is heterogeneous disease and there is a large number of clinical symptoms. At the end of this thesis you can find an case report of two patients with diabetic neuropathy using some of the described methods of physiotherapy
