The approach in this study uses a qualitative approach, with a type of literature research (library research). Data collection using documentation methods by analyzing the required data, in the form of data sources from various literature that have relevance to the theme of research. The results showed that: (1) The scope of hadhanah according to As-Sayyid Sabiq's thinking includes understanding, parenting rights, parenting wages, parenting deadlines, the right to choose for children who are fostered when they are adults, haḍin requirements, and the order of relatives who are entitled to parenting, (2) The requirements of childcare are of sound reason, puberty, have the ability and ability to educate children, trust and good ethics...
