ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN KOLEKSI BAGI PEMUSTAKA TUNANETRA DI PERPUSTAKAAN MTsLB/A YAKETUNIS YOGYAKARTA

This study aims to analysis the collection needs of blind users in the MTsLB / A Yaketunis Yogyakarta library and find out the obstacles in providing collection needs for blind users in the MTsLB / A Yaketunis Yogyakarta library. This study uses a qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study used the theory of Matthew B. Miles & A. Michael Hubermen, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The results of this study are to analyze the information needs based on the library material collection owned by the MTsLB / A Yaketunis library has not played a role because of the 6 elements of information material criteria there is only 1 aspect that has played a role or is appropriate. As for the obstacles faced by students in accessing information through collections of library materials, namely the collections owned by the MTsLB / A Yaketunis library were limited and did not match the curriculum or school year, some Braille books were damaged, and not all teachers taught subjects in MTsLB / A Yaketunis can read Braille. Blind students use voice media to still be able to access the information they need. In this study, it is suggested to collaborate with libraries that provide collections of Braille books and participate in training for subject teachers who are not blind to be able to assist liars in getting the information they need
