Authoritarian parenting is a parenting style given for adolescents, in the form of a set of attitudes to adolescents which are then considered as an attitude that enforces strict rules and controls in guiding, caring for, and directing adolescent behavior, this parenting style is usually have a one-way communication. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the authoritarian parenting style and the emotional maturity of college students and to find out that there were differences in high and low emotional maturity between male and female students in Yogyakarta. The subjects of this study were 116 people whose parents worked as millitary personnel. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment and Independent Sample t-Test analysis techniques.
