This research focuses to: 1) analyze students' mental models in explaining the concepts on work-energy and momentum material 2) determine the consistency of students in using their mental models. This is a descriptive research. This study involved 221 students senior high school in Pangandaran District who had studied the work-energy and momentum material. The sample was selected using stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument uses the Energy Momentum Concept Survey (EMCS) which is a standardized test of adaptation from Singh & Rosengrant (2003).
