IDEOLOGI DAN UTOPIA AMAR MAKRUF NAHI MUNKAR (Studi Pemikiran Imam Besar Front Pembela Islam)

The phenomenon of Islamism group movements often carrying out their da'wah actions are more likely to be confrontational and exceed the limits of normality as a community organization. The action of going down the field (sweeping) to discotheques, dimly lit cafes and brothels often results in physical clashes with the local community. The act of closing places that 'they' consider immoral with Islamic attributes complete with a white turban which is the hallmark of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) movement. Basically, the da'wah method carried out by FPI uses two cultural approaches, namely amar ma'rûf nahi munkar. The amar ma'ruf method is inviting people to do good by using a gentle approach (ma'ruf), such as opening the Ta'lim Council, majlis sholawat (Rasulullah assembly), and other religious activities. While the nahi munkar method is to invite people to leave the prohibitions that have been determined by religion with a hard and firm method. This second FPI da'wah method often gets special attention from the public, both from those who appreciate it and those who criticize their actions in upholding jihad. This study focuses on the formulation of the problem why the FPI group took over the duties of the state, in this case carrying out the sweeping action which has become the duty of the police as security forces and upholding state justice. How is the essence of understanding the interpretation of amar ma'ruf nahi munkar in the FPI. This study aims to provide an overview of the thoughts of Habib Riziq Syihab (HRS) as the Grand Imam of the Islamic Defenders Front. In addition, this research is also designed to reveal the ideological and utopian state of mind found in the thoughts of the leaders of the organization. This study uses qualitative research methods through a descriptive analytical framework with an inductive approach. The data obtained from the organization's master book which was written directly by the high priest of FPI, and books that wrote about the HRS background will also be supporting data as the influence of thoughts on the social environment during his life. Then the next step, the author conducts a study, analysis and filtering of the data according to the theme of the discussion to obtain valid and compatible information through the analysis knife of Karl Mannheim's Sociology of Knowledge
