L’interdisciplinarité dans l’enseignement secondaire en France (1970-2018) : une légitimation contrariée dans les discours, les configurations institutionnelles et les pratiques enseignantes

Our ambition consists in rebuilding the historical process from the rising of the interdisciplinary thought to its use in secondary teaching in France. Particularly , in grasping the genealogy and the specific features of the historical background whether political, educational or scientific which allowed the planned set up of the EPI. The study of transformation of power relationship between the supporters/ ones who are in favor of a strict disciplinary logic and the ones in favor of interdisciplinary renewal of secondary education will be the priority of this work. This research of socio-cultural history which is concerned with understanding the ideas, the representations and the ways of acting of the various protagonists, will concentrate on identifying the steps of creation, movement, reception and institutionalisation of interdisciplinarity in french secondary education.Notre ambition consiste donc à reconstruire le processus historique ayant mené de l'émergence de la pensée interdisciplinaire à son usage dans l'enseignement secondaire en France. En particulier, à saisir la généalogie et les caractéristiques spécifiques de la configuration historique tant politique, éducative que scientifique ayant permis la mise en place programmée des EPI. L'étude de la transformation du rapport de force entre les partisans d'une stricte logique disciplinaire et les promoteurs d'un renouvellement interdisciplinaire de l'enseignement secondaire sera une cible prioritaire du travail conduit. Cette recherche d'histoire socio-culturelle soucieuse de comprendre les idées, les représentations et les modes d'actions des divers acteurs, s'attache donc à identifier les étapes de création, de circulation, de réception et d'institutionnalisation de l'interdisciplinarité dans l'enseignement secondaire français
