Heavy metals are considered hazardous to health if they accumulate excessively in the human body. The adsorption process using adsorbents can remove iron metal ions. In this study, removal of heavy metals such as ferrous metal (Fe) was done by adsorption with nanosilica. Nanosilica is made from rice husk ash contains 80-90% silica so that it can be utilized as a raw material in nanosilica synthesis. Synthesis of nanosilica carried out using a KOH solution with varied concentration (1.5; 2.5; 3; 3.5 and 4 M).
