Palm oil mill effluent (POME) production in Indonesia is estimated around 28.7 million ton/year. Therefore it is one of the potential sources of contamination when it directly discharged into river.Eventhough, POME is a potential raw resource in producing biogas. Biogas is a mixture of several gas produced from the fermentation of organic matter under anaerobic conditions, the dominant gas is methane gas and carbon dioxide.
