The paper presents an application of the model for monitoring of pollution in the mining pits. There were presented the measuring results of suspended particles. There have been elaborated the measuring results in 2006 and 2007 years. This study analyzes of the impact of lignite exploitation on surface pit on the environment, to analyze and assess the impact of lignite mining on air pollution were used the standard models EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency) and AERMOD and ISC3. AERMOD model includes a wide range of possibilities for modeling the impact of pollutants on air pollution
