The influence of planting distance on fruit properties in six newly introduced strawberry cultivars (Favete, Cortina, Evita, Selene, Eris and Madeleine) and standard domestic cultivar Čačanska rana was investigated. The research was at the Experimental farm "Radmilovac", collection strawberry planting of the Faculty of Agriculture, Belgrade, over 2001 - 2002. All cultivars were grown on black polyethylene foil covered banks at different planting distances: 40 x 30, 30 x 30, 20 x 30 and 15 x 30 cm. Major parameters of physical, chemical and organoleptic properties of fruits were studied at different distances. The studies infer that larger planting distances, 30 x 30 cm and 40 x 30 cm positively influenced fruit weight and organoleptic fruit...
