PENGARUH JENIS EKSTRAK NABATI TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN AWAL TIGA VARIETAS TEBU (Sacharum officinarum L) ASAL BIBIT BUDCHIP

Sugarcane (Sacharum officinarum L) is a type of grass plant. Sugarcane grows in the lowlands to an altitude of 1,400 m above sea level. The optimal temperature in sugarcane cultivation is between 240C – 340C. Sugarcane grows well in areas with rainfall between 1,000 – 1,300 mm per year and at least 3 dry months. In 2017, sugarcane production decreased per hectare, which was below 100 tons. The decline in sugarcane production will affect domestic sugar production. Domestic sugar production cannot be fulfilled, one of which is caused by problems in sugarcane production. These problems include the lack of availability of superior seeds, besides that the provision of plant growth regulators is expected to be able to provide a positive response to the growth of tillers, so as to increase sugarcane productivity. The tools used are hoes, spades, gembor, dipper, sickle. blender, measuring cup, filter cloth, dipper, jurygen, tub, camera, ruler, caliper, digital scale, oven. The materials used in this study were PS 881 sugar cane seeds, PS 862 sugar cane seeds, JR 03 sugar cane seeds, Moringa leaves, bamboo shoots, Atonic ZPT, soil, compost fertilizer, urea fertilizer, water, and polybags 40 cm x 40 cm. This study used a factorial randomized block design (RAK). Grouping is done based on the size of the seeds. The treatments used two comparisons, namely 0 ml/l plant extract and Atonic PGR, 10 ml/l PGR Atonic, two vegetable extracts used, namely, bamboo shoot extract 20 ml/l and Moringa leaf extract 30 ml/l. 3 varieties namely PS 862, PS 881, and JR 03 so that 12 treatments were obtained and repeated 3 times using 4 samples in each treatment. The number of plants is 144. Analysis of variance showed that there was an interaction between types of vegetable extracts and varieties in observing the number of sugarcane tillers aged 7 DAP. The best combination was 20 ml/l bamboo shoots extract of PS 881 variety. Vegetable extracts had no effect on mean tiller height, tiller diameter, and root length at all ages of observation. Bamboo shoots vegetable extracts showed higher leaf fresh weight, root fresh and dry weight, and leaf dry weight compared to Moringa leaf extract treatment. Vegetable extracts showed a significant effect on leaf fresh weight. Varieties had a significant effect on the number of tillers 14 DAP – 21 DAP, tiller height 21 DAP, tiller diameter 14 DAP – 35 DAP, and stem fresh weight. The PS 881 variety showed relatively better initial growth compared to PS 862 and JR 03
