HUBUNGAN SELF AWARESNESS DENGAN KEPATUHAN ASUPAN CAIRAN PADA PASIEN GGK (GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK) DI RS. WAVA HUSADA KEPANJEN

Background: Chronic kidney failure is a progressive disorder, where there is a decrease in kidney function that affects the body. Hemodialysis is a therapy that functions to replace the work of the kidneys in removing waste products from metabolic fluids in the body. The frequency of hemodialysis therapy is 2 times a week for 4 to 5 hours in one therapy. Compliance therapy becomes an important role that must be considered, non-adherence will cause the accumulation of harmful substances in the blood. Self-awareness can make patients obedient in limiting nutrient and fluid intake. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between Self Awareness and Compliance with Fluid Intake in Patients with Chronic Kidney Failure in the Hospital. Method: This study uses a no-experimental design, namely observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The number of samples was 40 patients and the data collection tool used a questionnaire. Results: Self Awareness in CKD patients at Rs. Wava Husada as much (n=28, 70%). Demonstrate a sufficient level of consciousness. Compliance as much (n=36, 90%) showed a high level of compliance. There is a positive and significant relationship from the results of Spearman Rank 5%, the correlation coefficient between Self Awareness and Compliance is 0.419, the p-value is 0.007, which is smaller than 0.05. Conclusion: the higher the level of compliance with fluid intake and conversely the lower the level of self-awareness, the lower the level of compliance in patients with chronic kidney failure at Wava Husada Kepanjen Hospital
