Biblioterapia: análise dos artigos indexados na Base de Dados em Ciência da Informação (BRAPCI)

To know more about this topic of bibliotherapy, we propose, inthis research, the analysis of biblio-graphical publications indexed in the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (BRAPCI). Thus, a bibliometric study of the following variables was carried out: authors, periodicals and year of publication in order to explore how this field has behaved over the years. The content analysis was also called in order to identify through the reading of the empirical articles, the work of the professional librarian, the users involved and the environments of the actions. From the data col-lected, assessed that the production of Bibliotherapy is little produced scientific, a significant concen-tration around some authors and journals. However, this theme has shown some growth in this dec-ade. Most of the studies involve children and the elderly. And the most recurrent environments are hospitals and nursing homes. It is concluded that the bibliotherapy is a perspective of action for the librarian who wishes to be inserted in the humanistic area, and due to its complexity it is necessary that this practice be executed interdisciplinarily, covering other areas of knowledge
