The present article deals with the internal legislative activity of Prince Albrecht von Brandenburg-Ansbach, who took charge of the Duchy of Prussia which had been formed after the secularization of the Prussian part of the Teutonic Order and when it became a fiefdom of the Polish King and of the Polish Crown (1525). During his reign, the prince undertook actions with the aim of strengthening his position. This was also served by the legislative activity, which was often agreed with the social estates of the principality in which the ordinances, which were issued on their own and established by the prince, played a significant role.
