Polypyrrole nanoparticles (PPy-NPs) with excellent near-infrared absorption are commonly used as photothermal therapy (PTT) agents; however, PTT using PPy-NPs has a limitation in that it is difficult to maximize their therapeutic effect because of the lack of specific targeting.
