The program that is the topic of this case study was an integration of two forms of experiential education: service learning and study abroad. Participants in the program studied sociology and performed social service in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. Curriculum and planning issues of both study abroad and service learning are combined in the design and implementation of service in an international setting. This case study discusses how such concerns were addressed in this program and makes suggestions based on this experience
