The purpose of this project was twofold: (1) to develop a set of games which could be . used for self-directed practice of first-grade reading skills, the sequence of which correlated to the Ginn 720, 1979 Rainbow edition, reading series, and (2) to make available to other teachers, through development of a resource manual, the ideas for construction of the games developed.
