In recent years there have been published several studies and articles showing numbers of published articles in various scientific disciplines over the decades and analysing ratio of men and women authors. There is a big difference among disciplines. In the paper we will present and analyse these differences. There is not only difference in the total number of papers and articles with women as authors but also whether there are only women authors, women as first or last author, etc. In engineering an important area is also represented by patents.
