El propósito del estudio fue determinar el efecto de un programa de acondicionamiento físico basado en el método Pilates sobre variables del estado de ánimo en adultos mayores del Estado de Durango, México. Se diseñó un estudio experimental con un grupo control (GC) y un grupo experimental (GE) y mediciones iniciales (pre-test) y finales (post-test). Participaron 10 adultos mayores en cada grupo, cuyas edades estaban entre los 60 y 80 años. La duración del programa fue de 12 semanas, con 3 sesiones por semana de 50 min cada una. Para evaluar el estado de ánimo se utilizó el Profile of Mood States (POMS). Los datos se analizaron por medio de ANOVA de 2 x 2.
