Material and methods: It was design a case and control study in 30 children with diabetes mellitus: 15 cases with overweight-obesity and 15 controls with a normal BM. The sample was paired by sex: 20 females and 10 moles. In di of them a sample of blood was obtained in order so study the plasmatic concentration of leptin.
