This exploratory study was an examination of the relationship between television exposure and the self-concept of people with physical disabilities. Using an internet-based survey, it was found that people within the study sample who have physical disabilities had lower Physical self-concept scores than people who do not have a physical disability. Differences in self-concept scores were also found between groups with congenital and acquired physical disabilities, and between those with visible and invisible disabilities.
