This poster will describe a mixed-methods study that is an extension of ongoing research funded by the National Institute on Aging entitled Health Mediating Effects of the Well Elderly Program; R01 AG021108; Florence Clark, Principal Investigator. In the parent study, the investigators propose an explanatory model encompassing the effects of an occupational therapy intervention on aging outcomes, mediated by healthy activity, active coping, social support, perceived control, positive reinterpretation-based coping, and stress-related biomarkers.
