The Clackamas School District allegedly censored a play that was performed at the Rex Putnam High School. The play Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck was censored to lessen concerns over what audience members would object to while seeing the play. A few teachers and students have sued the school district for the censorship of various profanities that take the Lord’s name in vain. The lawsuit says that the school favored a particular religion by removing the words and then not explaining why the change was made before the performance.
