A selective review of the relevant literature is summarized regarding stress and marital satisfaction within the military community. The purpose of the review was to investigate the occurrence and severity of stress related to the demands of the military profession, specifically frequent relocation, deployment, and separation from loved ones, and to investigate the reported level of marital satisfaction among military personnel. A correlation between the stress experienced by members of the military and reported levels of marital satisfaction was explored.
