Board will hear book complaint: Parents object to references to the Mormon religion

A committee recommended the book Refuge by Terry Tempest Williams be available to students but not on the required reading list at Sprague High School. Parents Diane and James Hundley had requested the book be removed because they believed it misrepresented the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Salem-Keizer School Board was set to hear the request formally at its meeting
