As part of Banned Books Week, North Bend Public Library displays some of the books on ALA\u27s 100 most frequently challenged books of 1990-2000 . 14th annual report from the Oregon Intellectual Freedom Clearinghouse announced 47 challenges about library material between July 1, 2000 and June 30, 2001: 41 public libraries and 6 school libraries. The material was retained in 46 of the cases. According to Gary Sharp, North Bend library has had no challenges in the past 18 months
