Mary Louise Cobb was born in North Carver, MA in 1873. She graduated from Plymouth High School prior to enrolling at Bridgewater Normal School in September 1890. She graduated from BNS in June 1892 and taught briefly before having to quit her job due to health issues. Her health continued to deteriorate until her death in October 1893 at the age of 20. This collection contains 3 diaries kept by Mary Louise Cobb while a student at Bridgewater Normal School during the early 1890s. Transcriptions of the diaries are included, as well as research from Plymouth, MA newspapers documenting her death. Her diaries depict aspects of student life in the late nineteenth century
