Natural Killer (NK) cells have evolved into a spectrum of effector subsets which differ in terms of functions, location and responsiveness to activating stimuli to ensure complementary role in the immune response. Cytokines are essential for the regulation of NK cells differentiation and activation. Here, we show that IL-33, when combined with IL-12, is a potent activator of blood NK cells’ secretory and cytotoxic functions.
