As a reaction to the COVID-19 lockdown and following restrictions for classroom teaching the team of instructors at the ÄZB had to digitalize the introductory courses for academic research. The courses are integrated into the curricula of the departments of dentistry and general medicine.While the learning objectives and the content remained unchanged, the faculty-to-student-ratio could be changed for the better by pulling courses together due to the online-format. A number of library and medical professionals were supporting the participants throughout every online session.
