Caracterización nutricional de la larva de libélula ( Anisoptera) como alternativa alimenticia.

Finding alternative food sources that are environmentally friendly, economical and that meet the nutritional needs of people and animals has become a constant concern for humanity. Therefore, the objective of this work is to determine the nutritional value of the flour of the dragonfly larva (Anisóptera) as a dietary alternative for guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus). This work was developed in the town of Latacunga, Cotopaxi province, Ecuador. We used 24 animals 15 days old using an ANOVA analysis of variance, with three treatments and two repetitions each; these consisted of the evaluation of alfalfa (T1), commercial feed (T2) and balanced feed with larval flour (T3) as an alternative in the diet of Cavia porcellus. The variables initial weight, final and winning, food convertion were determined. Determining in this way that the food based on larval flour presents superior yields to the other alternatives, ending up validating the hypothesis raised and reaffirming the flour of this insect as an excellent food alternative, which, entails about a 78% additional cost in terms of the current food market.Encontrar fuentes de alimento alternativos que sean amigables con el medio ambiente, económicas y que suplan las necesidades nutricionales en personas y animales, se ha convertido en una preocupación constante para la humanidad. Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación, es determinar el valor nutricional de la harina de la larva de libélula (Anisóptera) como alternativa alimentaria en dieta para cuyes (Cavia porcellus). El presente trabajo se desarrolló en la localidad de Latacunga, provincia de Cotopaxi, Ecuador. Se emplearon 24 animales de 15 días de edad realizando un análisis de varianza ANOVA, con tres tratamientos y dos repeticiones cada uno; estos consistieron en la evaluación de alfalfa (T1), alimento balanceado comercial (T2) y alimento balanceado con harina de larva (T3) como alternativa en la dieta del Cavia porcellus. Se determinaron las variables peso inicial, final y ganancia, conversión alimenticia. Determinando de esta manera que el alimento en base a harina de larva presenta rendimientos superiores a las otras alternativas, terminando por validar la hipótesis planteada y reafirmando a la harina de este insecto como una excelente alternativa alimenticia, la que, conlleva alrededor de un 78% de costo adicional en cuanto al mercado actual de alimentos
