Graduation date: 1964In previous years, at Corvallis, yields of bush snap beans\ud varied among planting dates. In order to obtain additional information\ud on the effect of planting dates on the growth, development and\ud yield of snap beans, four field plantings and two greenhouse plantings\ud of the variety O.S.U. 2051 were made.\ud Results indicated that the late-June and early-July plantings\ud gave higher yields than the mid-May and early-June plantings. In\ud the greenhouse, the April planting had a higher yield than the\ud February planting. The number of flowers per plant increased as\ud the date of planting was delayed.
