There are a large amount of diverse factors that contribute to a student\u27s academic success. Things such as basic needs, a student\u27s culture, the teacher\u27s culture, parent involvement, school and classroom environment, and actual instructional strategies all play a role in a student\u27s daily academic experience. When students are living in an area of poverty, or come from families of a low socio-economic status, one or all of these factors can become compromised. As a result teachers, parents, administrators and community leaders are faced with the challenge of providing a holistic approach to education with limited resources. many times these obstacles are remedied with preventative planning, taking time to understand difference...
