False memory is the phenomenon where people recall detailed information that did not occur. In this study, six lists of words were presented and viewed by Lake Forest College students. Participants were then presented with a new list of words. Distractor (special and normal) words were presented in this new list with the intention of biasing which words the participant would choose. Each student was required to choose words from the original wordl list, from this new list of words. I hypothesize that there should be a high recall of special distractor words (very similar to original words), supporting the false memory phenomenon
