A CARNAVALIZAÇÃO E O RISO SEGUNDO MIKHAIL BAKHTIN

Often taken in questionable way, usually within the meaning of simple hierarchical inversion, the theory engenders carnivalization fundamental categories for its composition. In this paper we will focus on the categories "laughter" and "mask" and will bring a brief history of the theory of Mikhail Bakhtin. For the Russian researcher, the carnival was a series of manifestations of popular culture and medieval and Renaissance a rule, organized and coherent understanding of that world when transported to literary works called "carnivalization literature". The Categories laughter and mask are reinterpreted from the reading of the book A Cultura Popular na Idade Média e no Renascimento: o contexto de François Rabelais.Tomado muitas vezes de forma equivocada, normalmente na acepção redutível de simples inversão hierárquica, a teoria da carnavalização engendra categorias fundamentais para sua composição. No presente trabalho focalizaremos as categorias “riso” e “máscara” e traremos breve histórico da teoria de Mikhail Bakhtin. Para o pesquisador russo, o carnaval constituía um conjunto de manifestações da cultura popular medieval e do Renascimento e um princípio, organizado e coerente, de compreensão de mundo que, quando transportado para obras literárias, chama-se “carnavalização da literatura”. As categorias riso e máscara são reinterpretadas a partir da releitura da obra A Cultura Popular na Idade Média e no Renascimento: o contexto de François Rabelais
