The aim of this study was to understand the relationship between the organization of work and the increase of cases by RSI / WRMSDs, in addition to the effects on health in the clearance status of work by the disease. Methods: Collection of sociodemographic and labor subjects’ records data on Worker-Health Reference Center -CEREST, city of Santos/SP, and selected subjects with clinical diagnoses established for RSI/WRMSDs and who had experienced the absence of work because of the disease. The subjects were invited to participate in individual and semi structured interviews, based on pre-prepared scripts. The interviews were recorded and transcribed for thematic content analysis.
