This article deals with public education and the teaching of history in Brazil and Argentina from the national legislations and curriculums from the last decades to identify the space dedicated to the teaching of Latin American history over the school years. The theoretical and methodological guidelines that served as the bases for the comparative analyses are related to the approach of Connected Stories, bringing out the similarities and differences contextualized by the ties that bind each national history to the other countries of a region.
