This study is part of the research project Brazilian Leisure and it intends to identify and analyze how Brazilian women define leisure, how they spend/wish to spend their free time, and what barriers keep them from accomplishing it. Considering age group, formal education, race/color, marital status, and social class, a qualitative analysis of the quantitative data was completed. To achieve this, a description and analysis of the results was used to search for other researches and theoretical linkages that could be used for comparison.
