FORMAÇÃO CULTURAL E MORAL: A CRÍTICA DA RAZÃO

This paper set out to reflect on the relationship between morality, reason and emancipation in contemporary society. It is mainly interested in confronting the idea of morality with the urgency of a critique of reason in the sense of searching for enlightenment and autonomy, using the Critical Theory of the Frankfurt School as a reference. It is understood that discussing the perspective of ethics in a society based on modernity is an essential step towards understanding the possibilities of a formation process which leads to overcoming the intellectual and moral heteronomy of contemporary man.No presente artigo o objetivo é refletir sobre a relação entre moral, razão e emancipação na sociedade contemporânea. Interessa-se, sobretudo, em confrontar a ideia de moralidade à premência de uma crítica da razão no sentido da busca pelo esclarecimento e pela autonomia, segundo o referencial da Teoria Crítica da Escola de Frankfurt. Entende-se que discutir sobre a perspectiva da ética no contexto da sociedade que se institui a partir da modernidade torna-se um passo fundamental para a apreensão das possibilidades de um processo formativo que permita a superação da heteronomia intelectual e moral do homem contemporâneo
