Language, culture and beer: an ecological study about artesanal beer label

TThe general objective of this paper is describing and analysing the relations between language and culture in handmade beer labels produced in Brazil. This paper is grounded by Ecolinguistcs, a theory which studies language, people and territory in its mental, social and natural environments according to Couto (2016). The set of these interactions compose the linguistics ecosystem that, according to Couto (2018), is included at Cultural Ecosystem. The labels presents symbols that shows a imaginary of a determined brand of beer. Because of all these characteristics, the Brazilian handmade beer labels can produce a imaginary of each beer style that updates itself by language, the recipe and the label. It’s a Brazilian version of each beer style, how we can see at the names and the labels.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo geral descrever e analisar as relações entre língua e cultura em rótulos de cervejas artesanais produzidas no Brasil. O estudo está fundamentado pela Ecolinguística, teoria que estuda as interações entre língua, povo e território em seus meios ambientes mental, social e natural, conforme Couto (2016). O conjunto dessas interações compõe o Ecossistema Linguístico que, segundo Couto (2018), está inserido no Ecossistema Cultural. Assim, esse trabalho pretende analisar como se dão as relações entre língua e cultura nos rótulos de cerveja interpretando seus aspectos mentais, naturais e sociais. Os resultados preliminares demonstram que os rótulos de cervejas artesanais brasileiras podem compor um imaginário de cada estilo de cerveja que se atualiza por meio da língua, da receita e do rótulo. Trata-se de uma visão brasileira para cada estilo de cerveja, como se apresenta nos nomes e nos rótulos
